The STAD will provide storage, power, pumps and accommodation. For drilling operations on the TLP Total has devised a bespoke derrick equipment set mounted on its upper deck. Another challenge is the mooring of a pairing like this. The two units are 29 metres apart, linked by a gangway and a “high line” wire rope to transfer pipes.
