Work on TotalEnergies’ suspended Mozambique LNG project could restart by the middle of next year, according to one of the companies contracted to build the two-train liquefaction facility in Cabo Delgado province.

In April 2020, the operator declared force majeure on the $20 billion project due to Islamist insurgents attacking Palma close to the Afungi construction site that will host the facilities for the liquefied natural gas project.
