Bermuda-headquartered Hoegh LNG has firmed up details of its floating storage and regasification unit charter for Australian Industrial Energy’s (AIE) Port Kembla liquefied natural gas import project in Australia.

The FSRU’s 15-year lease contract offers AIE early termination options after years five and 10.

The charterer is entitled to time the start-up of the contract between 2023 and 2025, Hoegh revealed on Friday, suggesting that the grassroots LNG receiving and regasification project might be running behind schedule.
