BP has resumed production from the second train at its Tangguh LNG project in West Papua, Indonesia.

However, a questions hang over the timing of the start-up of Train 3, which will boost total output to 11.4 million tonnes per annum.

Production from the 3.8 million tpa Train 2 was affected for about 10 days in the second half of April due to reported mechanical issues with the gas heater. The shutdown was said to have been necessary to ensure safety and the sustainability of operations.
