Brazilian independent Eneva has agreed to buy two local energy players for 6.1 billion reais ($1.3 billion) in cash, taking control of a key liquefied natural gas import terminal in the country’s Sergipe state.

The transaction will see Eneva acquiring Celsepar and Cebarra from US-based New Fortress Energy (NFE) and joint venture partner Ebrasil. The deal also includes the assumption of 4.1 billion reais in net debt from Celsepar.
