Production has resumed from the LNG train at the Chevron-led Gorgon gas project in Australia that had been shut down following a gas leak.

Train one at Gorgon was shut down on 16 November after Chevron said a small leak was detected on piping associated with the dehydration unit.

The Gorgon project has three trains with combined LNG capacity of 15.6 million tonnes per annum.

A spokesperson for Chevron said production has resumed following the completion of repair work on the piping.
