US supermajor Chevron has enlisted GR Engineering subsidiary Upstream Production Solutions (UPS) to provide services on its natural gas facilities in Western Australia.
GR Engineering this week confirmed that Chevron had awarded UPS a five-year deal, with a further two-year option, to provide commissioning, completions and operations support services for Chevron Australia.
The scope of the work includes commissioning, ready for start-up, completions and execution of operations support activities and associated support at Chevron’s facilities in Western Australia.
Chevron operates the 15.6 million tonnes per annum Gorgon liquefied natural gas project on Barrow Island, off the coast of Western Australia, and the 8.9 million tpa Wheatstone LNG development, near the town of Onslow.
GR Engineering confirmed that work performed under the contract would be subject to Chevron's direction and the approval of work orders for specific services.
