Chinese engineering and construction giant Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) has delivered the first module built for the Shell-led LNG Canada project in British Columbia.

The yard in Qingdao city said the delivery of the first process module with total steel weight of 5465 tonnes late last week was achieved despite multiple challenges such as manpower and supply chain constrains caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The 37-metre high module with three decks is being shipped to the project site at Kitimat in western Canada for installation.
