Chinese offshore engineering and contracting giant Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) has delivered two more modules constructed for the Shell-led LNG Canada project in British Columbia.

The delivery of two process modules weighing a combined 16,100 tonnes at the weekend was achieved despite multiple technical and logistical challenges, including those caused by the Covid pandemic.

The two acid gas removal units (AGRUs) — the 8600-tonne A1EA and 7500-tonne A1EB — are being shipped to the project site at Kitimat in western Canada for installation.
