Greek steel pipe manufacturer Corinth Pipeworks has won a contract to supply a pipeline connection linking a floating storage and regasification facility in Greece to the country’s gas grid.

The workscope, which was awarded by Italy’s Saipem, will involve installing a 28-kilometre offshore and onshore pipeline between the Alexandroupolis FSRU terminal and the National Natural Gas Transmission System of Greece.

Run by Greek gas operator Gastrade, the project comprises the Alexandroupolis and Thrace FSRUs.
