Italian major Eni will develop another floating liquefied gas facility in Congo-Brazzaville, the second such investment in the country.

The company has awarded Chinese contractor Wison Heavy Industry the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning contract for an FLNG vessel with a capacity of 2.4 million tonnes per annum for the project.

The FLNG vessel will be deployed at the shallow-water Marine XII block, offshore Congo, where Eni uncovered a deposit estimated to host some 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
