The Exemplar floating storage and regasification unit is heading from Argentina to Europe, where it will provide liquefied natural gas regasification services to Finland and Estonia at a critical time.

The Exemplar FSRU has LNG storage capacity of 150,900 cubic metres and more than 5 billion cubic metres per year of regasification capacity, and its presence in the Baltic Sea will help end dependence on Russian gas supplies.

Russia cut off pipeline gas to Finland in May after attempting to impose unilateral changes in the payment system.
