The first tanker bringing liquefied natural gas to a German floating import terminal reached the North Sea port of Wilhelmshaven on Tuesday morning, operator Uniper said.
The Liberia-flagged Maria Energy LNG carrier left the port of Cameron, in the US Gulf of Mexico, on 20 December, marine traffic data shows.
The 2016-built vessel, owned by Tsakos Energy Navigation, has capacity for 174,000 cubic metres of LNG and was loaded at Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass plant in Louisiana.
