A Polish subsidiary of Russian independent gas producer Novatek has announced it is unable to fulfil contractual obligations to European customers after failing to restore blocked access to its bank accounts and assets.
Novatek Green Energy said that an event of force majeure meant that “performance of all contractual binding obligations is impossible and is suspended until further notice”. The measure will affect customers in Poland and Germany.
