The floating storage and regasification unit that was chartered by Finland to increase its liquefied natural gas imports is scheduled to arrive in the Scandinavian country on 26 December, where it is due to start supplying gas in January 2023.

The Exemplar FSRU was sailing off the Portuguese coast as of the afternoon of 20 December, and is due to reach Inkoo port in Finland by early next week, marine traffic information shows.

The vessel was anchored at the Spanish port of Ferrol for a month during November, where it was dry-docked for maintenance and winterisation before sailing to the Baltic Sea.
