Three large Australian gas projects with a combined capital cost of more than US$20 billion are in the construction phase as each set of joint venture owners aims to boost their positions in the liquefied natural gas market.

Notwithstanding the net-zero carbon targets that countries have set, the outlook for the global LNG market is positive and, with Australia’s already strong LNG trading links to Asia and pro-LNG government, its existing LNG players are eager to develop more gas.
