International trading house Gunvor has finalised an agreement to help market liquefied natural gas offtake capacity from the proposed Commonwealth LNG project in Louisiana as well as commit to taking some cargoes itself.
The 15-year agreement calls for Gunvor to commit to taking up to 3 million tonnes per annum of LNG offtake from the 8.4 million tpa facility. It also requires the trader to "support Commonwealth in securing binding LNG offtake and gas supply agreements for the full capacity of the facility".
