Italy’s Eni has signed agreements with state-owned Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and the Spanish company Naturgy, to restart the long-dormant Damietta liquefaction plant in Egypt by June 2020.

Upstream reported earlier this month that Egyptian authorities and the joint venture between Eni and Naturgy had made a breakthrough in the gas supply dispute, paving the way for the resumption of liquefied natural gas exports from the plant.
