Australian contractor Ventia has won a 10-year maintenance contract worth around A$1 billion (US$744 million) for US supermajor Chevron’s Gorgon liquefied natural gas project in Australia.

Ventia, which is a Cimic-backed contractor, confirmed on Wednesday it had been awarded a significant long-term maintenance master contract with Chevron Australia for works at the Gorgon liquefaction project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The master contract term is for a decade and Ventia expects annual revenues of approximately A$100 million subject to predicted volumes and work orders being issued.
