New York-listed Golar LNG expects Africa to play a major role in supplying liquefied natural gas to European and Asian markets, with this belief at the heart of the company’s drive to grow its floating LNG business.
Golar currently has one FLNG vessel, the Hilli Episeyo, on charter to Perenco in Cameroon until 2026, and is set to deploy the Gimi FLNG vessel next year on BP’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Senegal and Mauritania.
