TotalEnergies will not restart work at its Mozambique LNG project this year and when it does it will be under a revised contract with the consortium charged with building the liquefaction trains, according to a top executive at Italian player Saipem.
In June 2019, a joint venture between Saipem, US contractor McDermott International and Japanese player Chiyoda landed an engineering, procurement and construction to build two trains for the liquefied natural gas project at Afungi in Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province.
