Poland’s state gas pipeline operator Gaz-System has called for major gas consumers and traders to evaluate the expected impact on their operations of its plan to build a second liquefied natural gas import terminal in the country.

The floating storage and regasification unit is set to be installed in the Baltic Sea port of Gdansk and is due to become operational between 2026 and 2027

Gaz-System expects the facility to be able to handle about 4.5 billion cubic metres per annum of gas, although the capacity may be adjusted based on the announced survey.
