French LNG storage specialist GTT has warned of risks towards the continuation and completion of its contracts for Russian liquefied natural gas projects because of the deteriorating security situation following Moscow’s incursion into Ukraine.

GTT is overseeing the design of cryogenic tanks for liquefied natural gas carriers and gravity-base structures intended for Arctic gas liquefaction projects, located in northern Russia. As of 31 December last year, approximately €100 million (US$110.5 million), representing 12% of the contractor’s order book, corresponded to units under construction in Russia.
