Texas natural gas production and export facilities are positioned to play an important role in the expansion of US liquefied natural gas exports, according to a new report from the Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO).

The industry trade group noted that 88% of current US LNG exports are located on the US Gulf Coast.

Approximately 37% of that amount comes from two facilities in Texas — Freeport LNG and Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG facility.
