German utility company EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg boosted its long-term liquefied natural gas portfolio with its purchase of long-term volumes from US exporter Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines and CP2 facilities in the US.
EnBW and Venture Global signed a sales and purchase agreement covering the supply of 1.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG over a 20-year term, according to a joint statement released by the companies.
“EnBW looks forward to a long-term LNG partnership with Venture Global”, said EnBW chief operating officer for generation and trading Georg Stamatelopoulos.
