Spanish yard Navantia Shiprepairs Fene-Ferrol (pictured) is seeing fewer LNG carriers this year but is undertaking bigger projects as owners repair and reactivate older tonnage to trade in the current hot market.
The shipyard has worked on 16 LNG carriers this year against 23 in 2010 and 28 in 2009. Managers said, however, that the jobs being done are now more complex.
