The Jatayu-1 well is targeting a prospect with estimated proven and probable (P50) gas resources of 290 billion cubic feet, according to London-listed partner Sound Oil, which holds a 20% stake in the PSC onshore Java.
Sound’s chief executive Gerry Orbell said Jatayu is “an exciting and significant prospect” that has “significant upside potential” if P50 resources are proven by drilling.
