The Pacific Liberty was named at a ceremony at Maizuru Shipyard in Kyoto, Japan on Tuesday and is the final PSV Swire has on order with the Japanese yard.
The three previous vessels – Pacific Leader, Legacy and Legend – were all delivered last year and built to the same L Class design.
“The addition of the large PSVs in the L Class series to the SPO fleet will certainly enhance SPO’s competitiveness as a trusted and forward-looking service provider,” vice president of JMU's ship and offshore division, Yoshio Otagaki, said.
