NGOs call for ban on Virunga exploration

More than 60 non-governmental organisations and tourism groups have called on the United Nations and the governments of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo to prevent upstream exploration, extraction or related activities in the environmentally sensitive Virunga region.
