Chairman Ian Lundin and chief executive Alex Schneiter were called in to a meeting with prosecutors for questioning last week over claims the Stockholm-based company provided financial support to the Sudanese regime during country’s earlier civil war, according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

It is alleged the funding was used to remove inhabitants in an area of the country where Lundin intended to carry out upstream operations, with around 12,000 people killed and 160,000 forcibly displaced.
