The fast pace of development in Guyana can be witnessed at the Guyana Shore Base Incorporated (GYSBI) which is being established by a joint venture of local companies including Muneshwers Pacific Rim Constructors, TotalTec Oilfield Services and Led Offshore.
The 28-acre warehousing and logistics base, located on the bank of the Demerara river, has a 600-foot wharf under development.
Services include waste management, drilling supply management, fuel bunkering and freight forwarding, and an expansion through access to adjacent land is under negotiation.
