ABB will provide the control system, telecommunications, pipeline monitoring and security systems on the 1850-kilometre, $11 billion pipeline that will cross Turkey.
The pipeline will be controlled by ABB’s System 800xA process automation system and the deal includes fibre-optic cables to transmit data along the pipeline.
ABB did not put a value on the deal. The order has been booked in the fourth quarter.
