At a press conference in Orlando, Florida, where the party will finalise its platform, Gasland director Josh Fox told environmental groups that without an all-out ban on fracking, the world will not be able to cap the global temperature rise at 2 degrees celcius above pre-industrial times, a goal set by the Paris Agreement on climate change.
"The Democrats have to do everything in our power to keep this from happening, and that means no more fracking, period," Fox said.
