Armour revealed on Thursday it had signed a letter of intent with AEP involving several wholly-owned granted and pending tenements spanning 21.5 million acres in the McArthur basin.
The pair are hoping to firm up a deal which will see AEP carry Armour for 100% of a US$100 million five-year, single phase work programme in exchange for a 75% operated interest in the permits.
