The Norwegian oil field services contractor warned of the result at the end of April, blaming quality issues and delays on deliveries for Norway projects, as well as vessel downtime.

Consolidated revenue rose 12.4% to NOK 11.06 billion, but earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation was down 7.8% to NOK 868 million.

Aker said earnings in the quarter were impacted by increased costs of about NOK 70 million at the Ekofisk Zulu project as work accelerated to deliver the platform in mid-June.

The
