Aker posted a profit of Nkr120 million ($14.5 million) for the third quarter, down from a profit of Nkr205 million booked over the same period last year.

The drop in profits came as third quarter revenue slipped from nearly Nkr7.5 billion a year ago to just under Nkr6 billion in the recent quarter.

Aker blamed the fall in revenue on a global slowdown in demand for oil services and decline in itsorder intake which amounted to Nkr3.5
