Dean Watson, who has held various leadership roles at Schlumberger, is joining as chief operating officer at the Norwegian engineering contractor to lead the improvement effort geared to boosting cost-efficiency by 30% by the end of 2017.
At the same time, current subsea chief Alan Brunnen and head of operational improvement and risk management Tore Sjursen will exit the company at the end of the year but will remain in place until then to oversee the transition to a new leadership structure that will be operational from 1 November.
