Aker will provide downhole well intervention services, including running of mechanical wireline, electrical wireline and wireline tractor services to Statoil projects in the North Sea from two Island Offshore vessels.
Aker has worked from the riserless well intervention vessels, Island Frontier and Island Wellserver, since 2006 and 2009 respectively.
The new contracts have an initial period of five years with optional two-year extensions from 2015, Aker announced.
