The Norwegian contractor will carry out engineering, procurement and construction of a pig receiver for the export pipeline from the North Sea field, as well as connect the line to six existing storage caverns at the plant near Bergen, under the Nkr350 million ($42.5 million) contract.

Pre-fabrication of pipes and steel structures will be performed at Aker’s Egersund yard, providing much-needed work for the fabrication facility that is suffering from a dearth of employment, with engineering to be carried out at the contractor’s Bergen offices.
