Alberta bites on Devon Jackfish plan

US independent Devon Energy said it has gotten the okay from regulators in Alberta for the $1.3 billion third phase of its Jackfish steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) oil sands project in the Canadian province's Athabasca region.
