Under the deal - discussed during the second Jordan International Energy Summit - Algeria's state-run Sonatrach will start exports in September, according to reports.
Algerian Energy Minister Salah Khebri said during the summit in Amman that Sonatrach and Jordan's National Electric Power Company "should reach a final agreement in the next few weeks", Bloomberg reported.
Sonatrach will also reportedly explore for oil and gas in Jordan.
