The Toronto-listed explorer drilled the 256 (A1) well to total measured depth of 2292 metres in Block REC-T-256 on the onshore Reconcavo basin, Bahia state.
However, the well did not discovery commercial hydrocarbons, the company revealed on Thursday.
“We plan to abandon the well,” Alvopetro said of the probe, which satisfies its current phase of exploration work commitment with the Brazilian regulator.
