Shell and Chevron have wrapped up an extensive offshore project to add new capacity to a key section of the subsea Amberjack pipeline in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico.
The partners installed 33 miles of 24-inch pipeline stretching from the Shell-operated Boxer platform in Green Canyon Block 19 to the South Timbalier Block 301 area.
The update also routed flows from the existing Amberjack 20-inch pipeline segment from the GC 19 block to Ship Shoal Block 332A via the 20-inch Jackalope pipeline.
