The additional A$14 million may be paid over three years, Amec said in an announcement, having bought the company from its owner-managers.
Brisbane-based Unidel has experience in projects involving gas field exploration, development, production and transmission, water pipelines and coal bed methane, the company said.
Amec chief operating officer Neil Bruce said the acquisition would lift the company’s Australian presence to 1500 employees, as well as boosting its capabilities in what he said was a key growth region for the company.
