The South America-focused company said it is reducing its capital budget from $95 million to $45 million and suspending output and transportation from two production pads on its Platanillo oilfield in southern Colombia.
The move means average output of 6242 barrels per day seen last year will decline to 4500 bpd.
Amerisur Resources said it will resume output from the two pads once the Ecuador interconnector pipline is operational, and the company still plans to exit the year with increased output of 8200 bpd.
