Aminex revealed Friday it had executed a contract for the Caroil-2 drilling rig which is currently on the Ntorya-1 well pad but will be mobilised to the Ntorya-2 pad, 1500 metres away.
The operator said it had secured the rig for one firm well, which is expected to spud in the fourth quarter, with an option for a second.
Ntorya-2 is a follow up to the Ntorya-1 discovery which was drilled in 2012 and tested at 20 million cubic feet per day with 139 barrels of associated condensate.
