Antero will pay $450 million for the assets, which produce about 14 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMcfe/d). The properties are located primarily in Tyler, Wetzel and Doddridge counties.
The assets include about 33,000 net acres of core Marcellus leasehold in Wetzel county. In addition, three-quarters of the total acreage to be acquired include deep Utica rights.
The transaction is expected to add or enhance 225 core Marcellus dry gas drilling locations.
