Titan told the Australian Securities Exchange on Tuesday that it had been awarded a contract for its last available drilling rig, Gefco Speedstar Rig 2, to operate on a six-month term with a six-month option.
The rig, which was previously contracted to Arrow Energy, is expected to start operating for APLNG in the next few days.
This agreement formalizes a letter of intent signed in February with Titan’s subsidiary Atlas Drilling.
