Armour revealed on Tuesday the combined best estimate contingent resources for the Myall Creek, Parknook, Namarah and Warroon fields had increased from 15 petajoules to 92 PJ following an independent assessment.
It added the contingent resources would be reclassified as proven plus probable reserves once it is able to demonstrate economic viability following the restart of the Kincora gas plant.
Armour is currently planning to achieve first gas production at Kincora by the end of the year by initially using gas from the Newstead storage facility, which should require minimal processing to meet sales gas specification as it was already processed prior to injection into storage.
