Ultra-deepwater drillship Atwood Advantage got a four-month extension with Noble in the US Gulf of Mexico that will keep the rig active through August 2017.
The rig is due to carry out a four-well plug-and-abandonment campaign for Noble in 2016, expected to last about 120 days.
The extension comes with a sharp reduction in dayrate during the P&A programme. The rate during that time will be about $240,000.
